Very cool UPS

Pros: After I received one of these I tested it and specs match manufacturer claims, no problems there. Outlets are spaced well and have tight connection – a good thing. Also, you also get standard serial and simple USB connection to equipment if you feel you need that – no RJ45 LAN-like plug requiring special cable like some competition units. Surge rating and backup time over twice of similar UPS from some other manufacturers. Physical finish is smooth and solid ( you would not want to drop th...

Update on my CP685AVR purchase

Pros: Good power/cost ratioExcellent customer support Cons: Needed a second chance to make it right Other Thoughts: This is an update to my original review on 3/8/08 where I only gave the unit 3 eggs due to the loud electrical buzzing noise when it went into stand alone mode (power failure) and lack of customer support. I really appreciate that the manufacturer took the time to respond here - thank you CyberPower. I did call as they suggested and this time I got thru to a rep who was very helpfu...

Easy setup... affordable...

Pros: One, two, three setup. Hefty guy but feels sturdy. Supports PC and MAC. Cons: None yet. Other Thoughts: Spec wise, it looks identical to the models with the LCD screen. Prices are comparable except for s/h. I'd buy another most definitely.

DOA products

Pros: Cheap. Cons: After reading the one that failed (DOA), and the company responses of not helping to defray the cost of return shipping, I've decided not to purchase. Overall Review: Guess you get what you pay for . . .

Greatest example of False Advertising ever Made

Pros: Plenty of Outlets- very cleaver at making lies on the box. Cons: Unless you are supplying backup power to a night light forget this product and buy an APC or Tripplite. Not only is the tech support a bunch of clowns -took 3 days to tell me that this unit is only good as a paper weight- but the product is junk. All I had plugged into the thing was a CPU and it tripped the breaker on a power outage. The CPU was using only half of the available power according to their software and it couldnt...

Horrible shipping protection, works well.

Pros: (old)I received and plugged the battery in. Works as intended. Works as expected. I have yet to test its ability to keep my desktop and 2 monitors on when the power flickers off, which ironically has not happened since I purchased the battery. I will update this review when ever it happens.(old)(NEW) - The power has gone out quite a few times since I live in an old neighborhood. This power supply has held strong all but one of those time (A total of about 20 times of it happening). Fortuna...

Impressed so far

Pros: High wattage output for home use. Great software utilities, also with Linux support. Long battery runtime. My latest battery test lasted at least 7-8 mins without causing a shutdown even with all these devices drawing load: Linux server, gaming/development machine, 22" high def monitor, external backup drive, DSL modem and network switch. With all those devices on backup power they draw between 300-500 Watts (depending on what I'm doing), and I can keep working mostly uninterrupted for at ...

NOT fond of this one

Pros: Price, features Cons: I know I don't have the best electricity here in Mexico, but when the UPS keeps reporting NO current, but other equipment plugged into the same outlet (printers, surge protectors, speakers, other UPSs, etc.) doesn't protest?! I submitted a ticket with CP month+ ago - no response! Other Thoughts: Seriously doubt I'll buy another CP product.

Another DOA

Pros: None Cons: Wouldn't ever power up! Other Thoughts: Over the past 4 months my experience with Cyber Power has slid from very good to very poor! 4 DOA products out of 6 is terrible! Newegg has satisfactory rectified all the DOAs. Love Newegg, but Cyber Power needs to fix their QC problem.
