Samsung Incompatible!?

Pros: Inexpensive and available in the wake of Atlona having discontinued their equally spec'd product. Cons: Spoke with the manufacturer after having installed the product to finding no functionality. The manufacturer rep approved our install methods and went through a few troubleshooting tips. None of those worked. Finally the rep asked what TVs we were using. When he heard that we were using Samsung, he informed us that they have had compatibility issues with Samsung products, i.e. compatibil...

Installation

Pros: This had to be the easiest installation of this wall plate from coverting HDMI to ether back to HDMI to the 2nd TV tied into master bedroom. ZERO delay from the 2 tvs, both are in sync with each other. I had to installed the day I got it, hopefully it will last. I used Tripp Lite brand HDMI splitter and both work great. Thanks newegg, once again, you will one day put Walmart out of business. Cons: Price, but hey they have to make money to make more products. Other Thoughts: I am very pleas...

Works as advertised

Pros: I extended an HDMI signal from my splitter in the basement 105 feet (according to my toner) to my TV upstairs. 1080p from the xbox360 comes through perfectly. No pixelation or artifacting of any kind Cons: The punchdowns for the cables are reversed on the receiving panel. The cable on the left side of the sending jack gets punched into the right side of the receiving jack, and vice versa. The punchdowns are labeled, so it's not that big of a deal - just something to be aware of. Other Thou...

Worked great for a wile.

Pros: It was easy to set up and connect the cat 6. Had no issues at all with the setup. Says it extend up to 150ft but I only needed to go 35ft and it was perfect. Cons: I had one issue with it. From day one of use every time the ac in my house kicked on I lost a picture on my tv for a second or 2 then come back on. Every time I turned the fan or light on or off it would lose a signal. When there was a storm outside and lighting would strike it would lose a signal. Now using this for close to 2 ...

Expensive choice

I would recommend the units that use 2 cat6 cables as an extender. Much cheaper and no power needed.HDMI signal cuts out periodically. Not enough to be a hassle but annoying still.

Works Great

Pros: Works great over a distance of 70 feet of CAT 5E. 1080 picture is every bit as good as the picture on the source end. My source signal is from a satellite box, and as far as the box is concerned, there is no problem with having this device connected. I did run into one minor problem; I receive local channels (HD) from an indoor, hang on the wall type antenna and it appears that the device on the receiving end interferes with the weaker channels that are picked up from the antenna. I got a ...

Excelent!

Pros: Part of my job has me doing video support in bars. At this time I have used 12 of these units with great success. They are very easy to install and I had to use the equalizer on one of the installs. The length of the CAT% cables I used varied from 10' up to 100'. No problem getting full 1080P at these lengths. Cons: The only minor issue I had with these units was the HDMI connector was a little bit loose. This allowed for the attached cable to move within the connector. Other Thoughts: Ove...

Excellent

Pros: This device seems like it's not even there. That's exactly what I was hoping for! I needed to run a projector from a laptop on a table in the middle of a room. Both the projector and the computer have a HDMI interface. I would have just ran a HDMI cable, but the pipe that was run through the concrete under said table is only 1/2" I.D. and the run is over 90'. I ran a cat 6 wire through the pipe and above the ceiling and placed these wonderful devices at each end and my problems were solved...

.

Pros: It helps keep my wallet empty Cons: I connected this and it failed to go over 720p. I tried using a 6ft Cat6 9store bought, not home made) and the result was with 1080p picture would come in an out. While it was in, it looked severely digitized. Go back to 720p...no problems
