Ok Product, Support sucks!

Pros: Worked well when I got it, putting out 600w average to my server and raid array. Kept up for a couple power outages in the first month. This was used at home during winter storms. Cons: After a couple months we had an outage and the equipment went down. Tested the unit and it said the battery was bad. I contacted support and got the runaround for four days. They asked a lot of questions and in the end said it was probably my equipment! Eventually I was able to get them to RMA the device bu...

I was ready to buy until... the deal killer

Pros: This product was a top contender-- based on its features-- until I happened to read the TrippLite product warranty. See below, under "Cons". Cons: All of us who have owned UPS units understand they fail for a variety of reasons-- and product failure not always is the "fault" of anybody. But that is why we are drawn to products with manufacturer warranty, because after paying the purchase price, our money also buys a period of service free of additional from the UPS we decided to buy.The Tr...

Comment on my earlier review

Pros: - Cons: - Overall Review: I had offered an earlier review. When I contacted NewEgg the rep took care of me and issued a return with me not paying the shipping. I am back on board with NewEgg standing behind their products.

Good hardware, software requires you turn your machine into a virus magnet

Pros: I own a couple of these on large work stations, as well as some comparable APC models. Works well, is cheap for its capability. Cons: The Tripplite software requires Java be installed, which is a big security no no. Google dropped support for Java over a year ago for a reason - having it on your machine is an enormous security threat. So basically, if you want to run Tripplite's software to talk to your Tripplite UPS, you have to compromise the security of your machine. Tripplite needs to ...

POSition

Pros: With my computer up and running, I pulled the plug and tested the battery, it lasted 30 mins, screen said it could hold it for 3 more. Fairly decent considering I got a full tower, 2 monitors, and speakers on it. Cons: If there is one blip in the power it shuts off on me. If I unplug it, its fine, it stays up. I get a summer shower and a few blips in the electric, were talking less than a second of power flux, and its down.Maybe this on is faulty, but either way its annoying. Overall Revie...

scary

Pros: plenty of power, fancy features Cons: VERY unstable, it shutdown or restart randomly, it hurts my high end workstation TWICE Overall Review: there must be something wrong with the design or stability of the control circuit.Good looking products but it lacks the purpose of this device. It is designed to protect my computer , not to KILL my computers

Pros: No idea since the item was DOA Cons: Everything so far Overall Review: Unboxed, set it up. DOA. Called support, they would like to RMA but i will be without an UPS until they receive the defective product and test it.

wow

Pros: i have 4 of these. i needed one more for my new NAS. the unit showed up dead. i called trip lite and we did some trouble shooting. I pulled batteries from another unit and put them in the new and it worked. the new unit batteries were dead. they are shipping me new ones. they work better than my APC units. Cons: none really, batteries do go bad and im sure it was the heat that did them in. Overall Review: I really like tripp lite. i feel you get more product for less. APC prices are stupid...

So Far So Good

Pros: -Easy to read LCD-Plug and play-Lots of outlets Cons: -Not a fan of the java based software Overall Review: A nice unit with a good amount of outlets. You'll still run into the usual issue of covering outlets if you have wall-warts you want on the UPS. The LCD display on the front displays just the right amount of information, and is easy to read. Battery arrived fully charged, just had to plug it into the wall, then plug in devices, and I was good to go. The only possible downside with th...

Good Value, Unreliable Software

Pros: UPS Works well, continuous power during an outageLong Run-time on batteries, approx 1 Hr @ a 100 WattsStandard Size replacement batteriesGreat LCD Display, with all the info you needAbility to keep the UPS Alarm Muted all the time Cons: Luckily you really do not need the software, just a USB connection and manage it through Windows Power Options. The Windows PowerAlert software is complete garbage. It does not recognize the PC every few days, requiring a complete Shutdown of the UPS. Even w...
